Tal,
the dazzling expanse of water is situated at an elevation
of 3024m above sea level. Surrounded by an extremely dense
forest of oak, pine, deodar and rhododendron, the forest
sports a primeval look. The calm lake owing its origin
to several natural springs is filled with fish, including
the rare himalayan trout and is a haven for anglers. |

The trek for Dodi Tal commences from Uttarkashi
or Kalyani, which can be accessed by road. The trek is open
