Vasuki Tal - Painya TalTrek

Gaurikund is base for Vasuki Tal. One has to follow 14 km. steep climb to Kedarnath from Gaurikund. The temple of Kedarnath , located at a height of 3,581 mts, stand at the head of the Mandakini river, with Kedarnath peak keeping vigil above it. The temple is dedicated to the Sadasiva or invisible form of Shiva, and is represented by a natural rock formation. Vasuki Tal is an enchanting lake approached from a steep climb of 8 kms from Kedarnath. The trek from Kedarnath to Vasuki Tal is a continuous Ascent along a goat track and it offers a panoramic view Of Chaukhamba peaks. The final trek to Vasuki Tal is Downhill for 1 km. At the bottom of this, one can see Rectangular slabs of rocks.
